Laphroaig Four Oak whisky 1 litre

Rich and full-bodied, Laphroaig Four Oak combines single malt Scotch aged in a variety of oak casks. Each one imparts its own unique character to the richly flavoured blend. Notes of stewed fruit are complemented by warm, toasted vanilla underpinnedby the signature Laphroaig taste of smoke and seaweed. Hand-selected spirits from a number of barrels come together in this unique Laphroaig expression, Four Oak. First are the ex-bourbon barrels, which we gently toast before filling to impart charred flavours to our distinctive single malt whisky. Next are the large European oak hogsheads, where the whisky gently matures, and then onto our traditional 19th century style quarter casks. These smaller casks allow the spirit more contact with the wood, which softens it to develop a velvety texture. As an innovative touch, our Four Oak single malt also includes whisky aged in virgin American oak. This isn't typical in Scotch whisky making and lends powerful notes of vanilla to the blend. Bycombining four maturation styles, this Islay single malt showcases techniques developed over more than two centuries by generations of whisky makers.
